THE WORK As a key member of our manufacturing engineer team, you will: • Generate work instructions and order tooling to execute fabrication or procurement of airframe details, assemblies and installations • Work with the design engineers during basic and detail design phases to assure design is producible and can be fabricated to meet cost and schedule targets • Provide technical support to Operations during aircraft assembly and respond to Sikorsky airframe supplier inquiries • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost of poor quality using 6 sigma tools WHO WE ARE Sikorsky, a division of Lockheed Martin, is a global leader in the design, manufacture, and service of advanced helicopters for commercial, industrial, and military use. Ability to Work Remotely:Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules:Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
