Based in South Louisiana, DDI offers clearing, access, site preparation, logistics, and storm response services throughout North America. General Laborer: The General Construction Laborer works independently as well as part of a team in various aspects of construction. This full-time position has opportunities for growth and advancement within the company. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in various construction tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying materials
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
- Load and unload materials and supplies
- Assist in demolition
- Maintain cleanliness of job site
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Any additional tasks or projects assigned by their supervisor
Requirements Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in construction
- Ability to read and understand project plans and instructions
- Knowledge of various construction tools and equipment
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Successful candidates must complete a drug screening and background check prior to employment
