Role Overview: The Enterprise Steward governs data across business domains and systems, ensuring enterprise-wide alignment on data definitions, quality, and standards. They serve as a key point of coordination between domain stewards and governance leadership. Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and promote enterprise-wide data definitions, standards, and policies
- Define and monitor key data quality metrics across the organization
- Lead enterprise-level metadata, lineage, and business glossary efforts
- Align stewardship practices with architecture, engineering, and compliance goals
- Represent stewardship function in governance councils and data boards
- Identify data risks and ensure mitigation plans align with business needs
- Oversee change management and impact assessment for critical data assets
- Ensure data governance practices comply with industry regulations and standards

- Expertise in data stewardship, metadata management, and data quality practices
- Strategic thinking and influence
- Strong enterprise thinking and cross-functional communication
- Deep knowledge of data management tools and regulatory data requirements
- Ability to balance strategic priorities with tactical execution
- Strong facilitation and negotiation skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred; Equivalent combination of education and experience might be considered.
- 6 to 10 years of experience in data governance, data stewardship, or data management
- Experience working in cross-functional teams
- DAMA Data Governance Associate Certificate Certification Preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check
