What You'll Be Driving as a Residential Post Closer:
Are you ready to be part of something bold, challenging, and game-changing? We're growing our Residential Lending Operations team that is redefining what community banking means—and we're looking for a Residential Post Closer who is fueled by exceptional attention to detail, a passion for the Mortgage Industry, and helping us shape the future of finance.
As a Residential Post Closer, you will be an integral part of our Residential Lending operations and the eagle eyed processing mastermind that ensures all final packages are accurate and complete. This is more than just a job — it's a chance to make a meaningful impact through purpose-driven finance.
What You'll Contribute in This Role:
- Nothing Gets Passed You You review and verify all loan documents for accuracy and completeness with unparalleled precision and attention to detail. Under your keen eye post-closing conditions are consistently met and documented and compliance with applicable laws and regulations is 100% guaranteed.
- Process with Priority You'll demonstrate your extensive processing experience through smooth and efficient coordination with title companies, lenders and other parties — always resolving discrepancies or issues before they become problematic. You masterfully communicate with all internal and external stakeholders to keep processes moving and diligently monitor and track post-closing task statuses. Above all, you take pride in the final loan packages you prepare and submit for either secondary market sale or holding in the bank's loan portfolio.
- Report and Improve Process management is your middle name, and you know better than anyone that your process is only as good as the procedures it is based on. You continuously seek to improve post-closing processes and procedures and review them for efficiency and accuracy. You also know that a process is not complete without the report to prove it. You're a pro at maintaining accurate reports of all trailing documentation from public records and title insurance companies and you're ready to assist with audits as requested. You also receive and account for all loan sales and transaction fees and ensure reliable logging of all payments.
- Champion our Mission fiercely and passionately You'll adopt and practice a commitment to social, economic, environmental, and racial justice. You will apply curiosity and interest in our core values and pursue education related to sustainability practices.
- Protect our Organization and our Customers You will quickly pursue and demonstrate an understanding of established Bank policies, procedures, and regulations- and will diligently follow them at all times. Recognizing the importance of protecting the organization and our customers, you will question suspicious activity and stay in close collaboration with our Compliance department to ensure proper investigation and processing of potentially fraudulent activity. You will stay informed on legal context and regulatory requirements and prioritize completing all web-based compliance and IT training.
Who You Are:
- Experienced and Educated This isn't your first rodeo in Residential Operations, and you know residential mortgage loan documents and post-closing procedures like the back of your hand. You can process, close, post-close and have a clear understanding of the dependencies between all Residential Operations and Sales functions. But, while you've gained experience in the past, you know that each financial institution is different, and you have maintained your curiosity for the job. Your experience is founded on technical knowledge, preferably through a Bachelor's degree in Finance or equivalent education.
- Entrepreneurial Self-Starter You love taking charge of your work product and take great pride in delivering consistently great results. Once you know what is expected of you, you run with — and know when to slow down and ask for help. A high-pace and high-expectation environment excites you and you can't wait to push yourself to new professional heights in a company that rewards high performance.
- Master Communicator Whether it's on camera, phone, or chat—you're confident, concise, and professional. You listen deeply and respond thoughtfully.
- Banking Expert You understand banking and residential lending deeply. You are also a compliance wiz, have excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements — and you're ready to put that knowledge to work.
- Tech-Forward Thinking You're quick to learn new tools and excited by innovation.
- Organization & Efficiency Guru You manage your time like a pro, stay focused under pressure, and keep your workflow humming. You love putting your head down and getting into the groove but also appreciate changing routines. You're a master note-taker and checklist fanatic and consider “dropped balls” a four-letter word.
- Team Player with a Spark You lift others up, share ideas, and bring positive energy to everything you do.
