- Lead daily laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with New York State Department of Health and CLIA regulations.
- Supervise and mentor a team of 11 lab supervisors, medical technologists, and phlebotomists.
- Coordinate quality assurance, proficiency testing, equipment maintenance, and adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Manage laboratory budget, supplies, inventory, and implement cost-effective workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to streamline testing processes and deliver timely diagnostic results.
- Drive continuous improvement, staff development, and maintain a positive team environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biological/Chemical Sciences, or equivalent (Master's preferred).
- Certification: ASCP/CLS-certified or eligible; current New York State MT license required.
- Experience: Minimum 6 years in clinical lab settings, including supervisory or senior technologist roles.
- Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and analytical abilities. Proficient in regulatory compliance, quality control, and budget management.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $105,000 - $145,000 annually (based on experience)
- Schedule: Full-time, salaried position with 12% differential for evenings/nights
