Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a contract with a client located in Phoenix, AZ. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in SQL, cloud-based data engineering, and experience building robust, scalable data pipelines. Pay Rate: $53.03 - $68.18/hour on W2. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Data Engineer Job Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines and workflows for high-volume data processing.
- Automate processes to streamline data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
- Implement robust monitoring and observability practices using tools like Grafana.
- Continuously optimize data pipelines for performance and cost-efficiency.
- Develop clear and comprehensive documentation for all systems and processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong expertise in SQL and data manipulation techniques.
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and tools such as Dataflow and Dataplex.
- Experience with public cloud platforms and distributed systems architecture.
- Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Grafana for operational visibility.
- Strong data modeling and data warehousing skills with a focus on scalability and performance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
