Job DescriptionThe Kummer Center for STEM Education is seeking Youth Development Specialist to work in the after-school program. This individual needs to be energetic and have a desire to work with kids. The YDS will supervise and mentor students and assist the Lead Teacher with the care and development of children. The YDS will focus on cultural unity and acceptance within the classroom and provide guidance and care to the children supervised. The YDC will administer childcare center policies and procedures. Other duties will include:
Monday-Friday, 3pm-6pm
Minimum QualificationsAn Associate's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and some experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred QualificationsThe ideal candidate for this position has a flexible work schedule that allows for changes, is motivating to children and coworkers, has high energy, and has experience communicating effectively with parents and coworkers.
Anticipated Hiring RangeThe anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $18.00 hourly.
Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
