Join our team and play a key role in supporting our members' financial well-being! First Flight is looking for a service-oriented individual to be the primary liaison for our members, addressing their needs concerning financial services and products, deposit and loan account management, and online banking assistance. This role also involves providing valuable support for various back-office operational tasks, contributing to the overall efficiency of our credit union. This PART-TIME positionis located in our North Carolina footprint, from Cary, NC to Morehead City, NC. Candidates are expected to live in North Carolina, within one hour of a First Flight Branch for operational purposes. Position will be made hybrid/remote after a successful training and competency level have been reached. Part-time schedule is: 25 hours/week, M- F 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Essential Duties of the Role: Every day is different, but you'll be doing things like this:
  • Accept inbound calls and online chats from members.
  • Research and troubleshoot member inquiries in a professional, courteous and timely manner.
  • Perform account transactions and maintenance according to member requests and Credit Union policies and procedures.
  • Assist in various back-office operations tasks such as processing online account applications, reviewing mobile deposits, responding to asset verification requests and maintaining account classifications.
  • Process loan payments received by mail, phone and online.
  • Discuss appropriate new/additional helpful product(s) via the telephone.
  • Create and update procedures and monitors for accuracy on an ongoing basis.
  • Collect and scan appropriate paperwork and account documents as needed and in accordance with the Credit Union's record retention policy.
  • Serve as back-up to coworkers when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills For the Role: As a key contact for our members, you'll work with various departments across the credit union, including Operations, Lending, Accounting, and our Retail branches, to ensure a smooth and efficient experience for everyone. We're seeking a team player with a dedication to service and a foundational skill set:
  • Required Background: An Associate's degree or a combination of related experience (at least six months to one year) and education. Previous experience in a customer-service role is beneficial.
  • Clear Communicator: You'll need to understand and convey information effectively, both in writing (reports, correspondence) and verbally (speaking with individuals and groups).
  • Analytical & Logical Thinker: The ability to apply basic mathematical concepts and reason through common situations to follow instructions and resolve issues is important.
  • Computer Proficiency: You should be adept with key business software applications and hardware technology.
