Position Summary Responsible for providing care to students under the direction of the Registered Nurse for the school district. Upholds school board policies and follows administrative procedures. Assists nurse in performance of health screenings. Responsibilities Provides assistance to sick and injured students Obtains vital signs and blood sugar levels as needed Maintains accurate documentation and record Assists with required school based health screenings Promotes a favorable image of the school district and upholds the Student Code of Conduct Requirements
- Minimum requirement, high school diploma or GED. Analytical skills needed, ability to organize, set priorities and adjust plans as necessary when working with students
- Ability to work independently, under the direction of a Registered Nurse. One to two years experience as a point of care technician or medical assistant.
- LMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, and as such, may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards.
