Job Summary: The leave administrator is responsible for the administration of all company leaves and the ADA interactive process. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides leave of absence and disability administrative support to Team Members.
- Analyzes, investigates, and reconciles leave discrepancies.
- Maintains leave administrative system(s).
- Conducts property training for leaves and ADA.
- Coordinates return to work for Team Members on FMLA, short term disability, and other company leave programs.
- Creates and maintains standard operating procedures for all aspects of leave administration.
- Assures timely completion of necessary paperwork and maintenance of records.
- Assists in developing best practices related to leave administration and total absence management.
- Performs leave audits on a regular basis.
- Provides back-up support for Benefits when needed.
- Partners with third party vendors (if applicable), as needed, to ensure accuracy of team member's FMLA claims.
- Assists with all other HR responsibilities as needed.
- Fulfills responsibilities in accordance with Rivers Casino policies, and applicable laws.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources related field preferred.
- At least two (2) years previous experience in leave administration and ADA process required
- Two (2) years of human resources/employee relations experience preferred.
Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
- PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP or SCP preferred.
- Gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of HRIS systems preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Good people skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays.
- Successful candidate is someone who operates with confidence, initiative, and a sense of urgency.
- Person should be able to react and adjust quickly to changing conditions, while producing high quality work.
- Must be able to work with high volumes of confidential information in a professional manner.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, smoke and dust.
