Overview Are you passionate about connecting great people with meaningful work? At AprilAire, we're looking for an enthusiastic and organized Recruiter to help us attract and hire top talent across our growing team. In this role, you'll play a key part in finding the right candidates for our seasonal and full-time production roles at our manufacturing facilities in Madison and Poynette, as well as our Westport distribution center. You'll be hands-on in making a real impact during our busy seasons, helping to build the teams that keep our operations running smoothly to build exceptional indoor air products. This is a primarily onsite position, giving you the chance to build relationships with hiring managers and team members across our locations in downtown Madison, Poynette, and Westport. Check out our locations here! Responsibilities
- Recruit candidates by using databases, social media, referrals, job fairs and other resources. Screen resumes and applications.
- Conduct phone/video and in-person interviews and site tours.
- Schedule candidates for tours and supervisor interviews. Capture supervisor feedback to make collaborative hiring decision.
- Coordinate and deliver offers to applicants; work with hiring managers and HR team as needed to ensure alignment
- Update spreadsheets and iCIMS applicant tracking system to maintain applicant flow and understanding of open shifts or roles
- Launch onboarding packages (such as Paylocity, drug testing, and background screenings) to new employees
- Identify process improvement opportunities, identify and share best practices and align on common recruiting practices across all manufacturing and distribution centers.
- Attend manufacturing staffing labor meetings to understand production recruiting needs and collaborate with HR and Operations leaders to understand targeted start dates and hiring needs.
- Own production staff recruiting goals set to ensure the organization has the right resources at the right time to achieve the labor plan targets. Provide recruiting reports, analyzing data to identify/recommend changes.
- Prepare recruitment materials and collaborate with in-house Marketing Communications team to create attractive and compelling job postings to attract a diverse talent pipeline.
- Promote AprilAire's best place to work story and branding messaging across internal and external sources, supporting the branding efforts as a Brand Ambassador in the community including technical schools.
- Assist and help coordinate other projects and events within the organization as needed. This inmay include general staff recruiting, company updates, and employee events as needed.
Qualifications
- Relevant Bachelor's degree or in lieu of degree, minimum 2 years experience in recruiting
- Ability and resources to travel between Madison, Poynette and Westport facilities
- Ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, competency-based) over the phone, in-person, or virtually
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal customers, external vendors, and community partners
- Deep understanding of and value to create partnerships across the organization while delivering excellent customer service internally
- Ability to develop and track KPI's for recruiting and recommend strategies for improvements.
