Job Opportunity: RN L&D Location: Carmichael, CA, 95608 Position Details Shift Schedule: 12-hour Nights shifts Assignment Duration: 13 weeks Pay Rate: $95/hr on W2 • Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate RN L&D to join our healthcare team in Carmichael, CA, 95608 for a 13 week contract.. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. This role requires a strong understanding of maternal-fetal health, effective communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Labor and Delivery Nurse will collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and positive birth experiences. Duties Monitor the health status of mothers and newborns during labor and delivery. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families. Administer medications and manage pain relief options as needed. Assist in the delivery process, including performing necessary interventions. Conduct assessments of maternal and fetal well-being using sonography techniques. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care planning. Document patient information accurately in electronic health records. Participate in case management for high-risk pregnancies. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and hospital policies. • Qualifications Current nursing license in good standing. Experience in labor and delivery nursing preferred. Knowledge of trauma medicine and critical care transport is advantageous. Familiarity with outpatient care practices is a plus. Skills in specimen collection processing are beneficial. Proficiency in administering dermal fillers is considered an asset. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care within a supportive environment. Qualifications Required: Active and unrestricted CA RN License. Minimum of 2 years of RN experience (L&D experience preferred).
