SUMMARY: This position is responsible for designing, modeling, integrating, and testing Printed Circuit Boards and associated electronic circuits. The position resides within the electrical engineering group, which proves the feasibility of the designs through laboratory and customer-related reliability and performance demonstrations and leads electrical oriented product development efforts. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates electrical schematics, Printed Circuit Board models, and digital files for export to board manufacturers.
- Tests prototype designs for electrical performance, packaging environmental survivability, electrical noise, EMI and ESD susceptibility.
- Documents designs to applicable industry design standards, high reliability requirements, and customer contract requirements.
- Specifies technical requirements and create drawings for purchased assemblies, electrical components and sub-tier assemblies.
- Identifies and resolve electrical and electronics design issues.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 5+ years in the electrical engineering field or equivalent role.
- 5+ years of Electrical Design, Analysis, or Test Engineering experience preferred.
- Expertise in analog DC circuit design with the ability to decipher existing schematic functionality and develop new circuit schematics.
- Working knowledge of PCB design, circuit board level debugging and verification, electrical integration and test platform development.
- Ability to generate reports documenting circuit functionality, reliability, and product test results.
- Direct experience in electrical circuit and equipment integration, verification, and validation.
- Experience with MATLAB or other computational mathematics software
- Experience using electronic laboratory equipment (Signal generators, Oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems, etc.)
- Knowledge of project management techniques preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical mechanical sensing technology preferred.
