Respiratory Therapist – Acute Care

Day & Evening Shifts | 12-Hour Shifts | 3 Days/WeekContract: March 24, 2025 – June 24, 2025No Block Scheduling | No Dual Assignments

ACI Federal is seeking two experienced Respiratory Therapists to provide exceptional patient care in an acute care setting. This role is ideal for professionals with strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Position Details

• Shifts:
  • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
• Scheduling: No block scheduling; candidates must be available for full commitment without concurrent assignments.

Qualifications

✅ Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Respiratory Therapy (Required)✅ Active NYS Respiratory Therapist License/Registration (Required)✅ Minimum 2 years of acute care experience post-degree (Required)✅ Strong interpersonal and communication skills✅ Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

Duties & Responsibilities

• Administer positive pressure therapy and aerosol therapy to patients
• Institute and monitor oxygen therapy
• Assist physicians with initiating and maintaining continuous ventilation
• Perform pulmonary function tests and radial arterial punctures
• Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) when needed
• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care with minimal orientation and supervision
