We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate individual to join our team as a full-time Admitting Clerk/Registrar for the hospital. In this front-line role, you'll be responsible for ensuring a smooth, accurate, and welcoming patient registration process for our Emergency and Outpatient services. Essential Functions
  • Serve as front desk receptionist and cashier for hospital admissions, ER, and outpatient services.
  • Answer and direct phone calls professionally; guide patients to the appropriate area of care.
  • Register patients and obtain accurate demographics and insurance details at the time of service.
  • Collect co-pays and payments for billed accounts as needed.
  • Ensure all registrations are entered and posted to the billing system daily.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and hospital privacy standards.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to support timely and efficient admissions.
Knowledge, Sills, Abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unites of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Maintain a positive and caring atmosphere for patients, families, and co-workers. Perform job responsibilities in a manner that promotes our mission and vision.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Pre-Employment Requirements: Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, drug screening, and health clearance-conducted only after a conditional offer of employment has been made.
