As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality MRI images to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients, in accordance with physician orders. You'll play a key role in ensuring patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality throughout the imaging process. Requirements:
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college/technical school
- New Mexico MRI License
- ARRT MRI Certification - R.T.(R)(MR)(ARRT)
- CPR Certification
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate MRI equipment and perform diagnostic imaging procedures following physician instructions.
- Properly position patients and explain the procedure to ensure comfort and safety.
- Accurately enter scan parameters and patient information into imaging systems.
- Administer contrast agents as ordered and verify lab work.
- Ensure patient screening for safety and communicate any risks associated with metal objects.
- Monitor image quality and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct routine QA/QC checks on equipment.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and internal policies.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, patients, and support staff.
