Job DescriptionRole Summary: The IT Support Specialist provides the company with Information Technology support to optimize operational efficiency. Their duties include resolving technical issues, maintaining hardware and software installations, and improving IT systems. What to Expect in the Role:
- Provides technical assistance and troubleshooting for desktop/laptop/mobile computers and other peripheral equipment, including installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing equipment in a networked environment. Determines feasibility of repair or replacement of equipment.
- Provides technical assistance and troubleshooting for mobile phones, mobile devices, and desktop telephones and phone systems.
- Ensures the desktop/laptop/mobile computers/devices are compliant to company standards and maintained.
- Support and aid in the troubleshooting of network systems and connectivity. This may require servicing network equipment by climbing radio towers.
- Support and aid in the troubleshooting of enterprise software and systems.
- Troubleshoots desktop services and systems and makes recommendations for improvements to increase productivity and address workflow issues.
- Meets with users to determine software, application, or system needs. Research solutions and provides users with recommendations for appropriate solutions to address their needs.
- Provides training for users on various systems, applications and software as needed.
- Consistently document each case, utilizing the helpdesk system to ensure follow-up and resolution of issues and requests.
- Participates in the execution of rollouts/deployments, migrations, and upgrades.
- Ensure cybersecurity systems are functioning properly and consistently enforced and deployed.
What We Will Be Needing from You:
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
- Technical expertise and an in-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
- Communication skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent customer service skills, consistently demonstrating patience, empathy, and the ability to handle user inquiries professionally.
- Maintain current knowledge of computer hardware and software, network maintenance, and industry trends.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM disciple preferred.
- Comptia A+, CCNA certifications desired.
- At least 3 years' experience in an IT support role is preferred.
