Akkodis is seeking a System Administrator for a Contract job with a client in Kansas City, KS . Responsibilities include managing the full lifecycle of IT assets and performing audits to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance. Rate Range: $30/hour to $32/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. System Administrator job responsibilities include:
- Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal.
- Maintain accurate asset inventories through regular audits and data reconciliation.
- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
- Perform imaging and validation checks on laptops before deployment to users.
- Ensure compliance with licensing agreements, vendor contracts, and company policies.
- Support procurement processes by offering insights on IT equipment and software needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize asset usage and reduce IT costs.
- Update ITSM tools with detailed work notes and maintain records for reporting and compliance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT support and system administration.
- Hands-on experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes and tools is mandatory.
- Strong technical skills in imaging laptops, desk-side support, and troubleshooting Windows and Mac OS environments.
