Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Foreman - Industrial Painting to lead our painting teams in executing high-quality industrial painting projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial painting processes, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Lead craft team during construction & repairs. Ensure safety and productivity. Participate in production activities including equipment operation, paint mixing, paint application, and any other activities necessary to progress the work

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safety standards are upheld during all work activities.
  • Conduct project-specific quality control inspections and record them in the Daily Inspection report.
  • Effectively communicate with PM and superintendent to ensure budgets and schedules are upheld.
  • Direct daily crew tasks and monitor performance.
  • Train craft workers on proper means, methods, and execution.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on industrial coatings equipment.
  • Operate, manage, maintain, and troubleshoot various equipment used in industrial coatings.
  • Utilize airless sprayers, conventional sprayers, and other painting equipment effectively.
  • Monitor atmospheric conditions to ensure proper application of coatings.
  • Maintain job site materials and supplies for efficient project execution.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years industrial coatings experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Able to pass a background check to gain access to client job sites such as military bases.
  • Working knowledge of plans and drawings.
  • Working knowledge of industrial coatings equipment
  • Physically stand or walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl for long periods
  • Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing 50 to 125 pounds
  • Climb up and down ladders, stair towers, and scaffolds
  • Have the visual and hearing capacity to perform work without harm to self or others
  • Able to work productively in heat index exposure above 100 ̊ F
  • Must be able to work productively at temperatures below freezing.
  • Using / wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to full body harness, personal flotation device, tyvek coveralls, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
  • Must have the mental capacity / skill to attain and retain certifications related to the coatings industry.
  • Work away from primary residence for long periods of time.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • AMPP Basic Coatings Inspector (CIP Level 1) or equivalent
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction
  • AMPP Coating Application Specialist (CAS) Level II
