Job Vacancy Announcement Position Information Position Title Enterprise Operations Administrator Position Type Staff Department Enterprise Technology FLSA Non-Exempt Union/Non Union Non Union Full Time or Part Time Full Time Grade 9 Salary RangeHiring Salary Range $44,090 - $48,499/Annually Fixed Term/Tenure Track (Faculty Only)Regular or Temporary Regular Job Description Summary The Enterprise Operations Administrator is responsible for overseeing and managing updates to the production and non-production environment of the PGCC Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, the CHS Data Center and assisting with enterprise backup and restoration operations. Responsibilities are inclusive of but not limited to application monitoring, application restarts, system maintenance, user access management, management of the backup and recovery system, as well as monitoring support for data center power, data center cooling and data center equipment. Minimum QualificationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Two to four years of related experience or required course work/certification and/or specialized skills/training required.
  • One year of experience working in a technology-based support environment required.
  • Two years of education in information technology, preferred.
  • Associate's degree in information technology or a related field preferred.

  • Create the daily schedule for application monitoring, data center monitoring, batch processing and ERP maintenance.
  • Responsible for handling confidential employee information.
  • Create new users for ERP applications as required, resolving access issues as necessary.
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly maintenance on ERP applications as requested.
  • Process transcript migration requests from the mainframe files into Colleague.
  • Create daily status reports of nightly processes that are sent to the management and end users.
  • Manage and organize requests that Enterprise Services receives, routing them to the appropriate person, which includes responding properly to the user's inquiries.
  • Create detailed documentation and provide support regarding the process in the ERP system.
  • Work as a resource with Manager of Enterprise Services and Coordinator of Enterprise Services on various Technology Service projects.
  • Provide secondary support for the Network Operations Center (NOC), monitoring system availability and executing batch processes required.
  • Provide secondary support for the enterprise backup and recovery operations.
  • Create and update management tracking and reporting tools (SharePoint, Smartsheet, Microsoft Excel).
  • Assist other DSIE units as requested.
  • Monitor and track access into the Data Center.
  • Monitor power, cooling and server equipment in the Data Center; reporting issues as required.
  • Complete all required institutional training.
  • Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite applications (MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, VISIO, etc.)
  • Ability to use a personal computer.
  • Ability to create and manage a daily operational schedule.
  • Knowledge of network operation systems.
  • Ability to use remote access applications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and electronically.
  • Ability to create clear and concise documentation.
  • Knowledge of the Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (Ellucian-Colleague/Datatel, PeopleSoft, etc.).
  • Familiarity with backup systems and restore operations.
Job RequirementsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to a, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine. No significant climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions. OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Need to be able to lift 60 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
