Shifts are from 7 PM to 7 AM on weekdays. Every other weekend is required. The nurse may float within their scope to meet facility needs. Candidates with strong qualifications without oncology experience will be considered. The unit has 29 beds catering to adult patients in medical and surgical care. Patients include those battling cancer, requiring palliative care, or family education on oncological processes. Telemetry and urology patients are also included. Patient ratios are 4-5:1 during the day and 5-6:1 at night. Blocked schedule requests will be accommodated. Flu shot is mandatory unless a medical exemption is provided. COVID-19 vaccination is not required. References must include two managers or charge references from the past two years. Certifications must be listed on the application, including BLS and any other applicable credentials. Application must include a clean license verification. Travelers must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility to apply. Previous employment as a permanent staff member at this facility disqualifies candidates from returning as travelers for two years.
