Role: Scrum Master - Agile Project Manager (Contract) Location: Hybrid - Candidate must reside in Colorado Duration: 6 Months (08/11/2025 - 02/28/2026) Pay Rate: $45-$70/hr (W2) Overview: A government agency in Colorado is seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager to support ongoing technology modernization and agile transformation initiatives. This person will play a key role in leading planning efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving forward agile best practices and project delivery. The role requires onsite work 2-3 days per week; flexibility is essential as hybrid arrangements may evolve. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead agile planning and project execution, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines
- Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups
- Collaborate with product owners and technical teams to define project scope, priorities, and deliverables
- Manage project budgets, risk, and communications
- Guide teams through agile ceremonies and continuous improvement cycles
- Partner with stakeholders to gather, document, and synthesize customer needs and translate into actionable tasks
- Ensure consistent communication with internal teams and leadership
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience managing Agile projects using tools like Jira and Confluence (required)
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple teams and projects simultaneously
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a collaborative mindset
- Proven track record in agile delivery, backlog management, and team coaching
- Excellent problem-solving, facilitation, and decision-making abilities
- Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field (preferred)
- Agile certifications (Scrum Master, SAFe, etc.) strongly preferred
