The CAT/CT Scan Technologist produces computerizedtomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as ordered by aphysician. These cross-sectional imagesprovide detailed information about soft tissues, blood vessels, and bones,which are essential for accurate diagnostics. The CAT/CT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standardprocedures, and addresses patient concerns. The CAT/CT Technologist alsoperforms a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CTscans
Experience:
3 - 5 years of X-Ray/CT experience
Position Details:
Covers CT, X-Ray, and OR
It's a solo position that utilizes our ER Techs for support/transport
Heavier CT, emergency surgery
Significantly lower patient volumes, 5 - 15
25 bed/Inpatient Portable X-Ray - have chest x-ray
No providers, ER Provider is closest provider support
Education:
Certificate of completion from college or vocational school
Successful completion of a Radiologic Technologist Program (College or Institutional Program) approved by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). The college program will grant a minimum of an Associate's Degree (A.S.) or Radiologic Technology program or equivalent
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
California Certified Radiologic Technologist (RHT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
No NV License needed as will not be supporting Nevada/IVCH
Work Hours:
40hrs a week.
