This posting will remain active until April 30, 2026, or until all positions are filled.Scope: To provide safe, sanitary and well-kept grounds and facilities throughout the district for students, staff and public Reports to: Buildings/Grounds Director and Support Services Director Requirements: High School diploma; Knowledge of general cleaning, procedures, products and equipment; Knowledge of workplace hazardous materials information Performance Responsibilities:
- Clean and care for buildings and facilities in order to ensure they are maintained in a safe and sanitary manner
- Maintain storage areas and cleaning equipment, materials and supplies in a safe and orderly manner in order to ensure the safety of students, staff and the community
- Perform building maintenance where needed
- Assist teaching staff, coaches, adult education, and building rental groups in operation of school activities
- Assist in maintaining boiler and heating systems
- Read and understand labels and instructions especially in regards to cleaning chemicals and products
- Responsible for the security and safety of the building
- Ability to work with little or no supervision and adjust to unexpected situations
- On-call for emergency situations
- Ability to work in a team environment with staff, students, and the community
- Perform other related duties as required
