Details: Position Title: Design Process Management Coordinator - Document Control Overview: The Design Process Management Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the integrity and flow of technical documentation across engineering platforms. This includes accurate registration of design drawings, diagnosis and resolution of CAD system issues, controlled release and distribution of documentation, and robust administrative support to projects within the Project Management Division. As a member of the Design Process Management (DPM) team-which supports every project-the ability to work collaboratively and flexibly within the group is essential. Team members are expected to support one another across responsibilities as needed. Core Responsibilities:CAD System Management
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in both CATIA V5 and V6 platforms
- Enhance CAD system efficiency and support ongoing migration from V5 to V6
- Create and synchronize Bill of Materials (BoM) with Navision
Drawing Release & Documentation Control
- Manage drawing distribution through 3DX for V6
- Process changes for V5 using ECN forms, Microsoft Office tools, PDFs, Navision, and NEWS
- Administer release processes for Tech Bulletins, Tech Notices, and company Design Standards/Specifications using ECN, Word, PDF, and SharePoint
Part Number and Configuration Management
- Confirm and manage part numbers through NEWS, Navision, Excel, and OneNote
- Apply Clients' Engineering Standards, ensuring team compliance and providing training when necessary
- Utilize RE-X (Client Drawing Database) for design data access and verification
Process Improvement
- Identify and implement improvements in documentation workflows and design processes
- Help establish and maintain drawing policies, controls, and procedures
Job Requirements Details: Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in document control, design registration, and project coordination
- Background in manufacturing or engineering environments preferred
- Experience with production control, parts administration, and configuration management highly desirable
- Proficient in CAD software with exposure to CATIA; basic understanding of CAD functionality required
- Familiarity with material resource planning (MRP) systems is a plus
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; proficiency in Microsoft Project is strongly preferred
- Detail-oriented with strong planning and coordination skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments independently and meet critical deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication with a customer-focused approach
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface effectively across diverse teams
Pay Rate Range: $35 - $43/hr DOE #MCTA1
