Radix Recovery is looking for dedicated Detox Nurses to provide direct medical and emotional support to clients undergoing withdrawal and early recovery from substance use disorders. Our nurses are the first point of contact for clients starting their recovery journey and play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment. Key Responsibilities
- Complete nursing assessments, medication reconciliation, and intakes.
- Monitor withdrawal symptoms and administer medications per medical provider orders.
- Observe and document client responses using CIWA/COWS protocols and EHR systems.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including medical providers, mental health professionals, and recovery staff.
- Deliver trauma-informed, culturally responsive care to individuals in various stages of withdrawal.
- Educate clients about addiction, recovery, and health-related topics.
- Support crisis situations and manage emergent health needs.
- Delegate and oversee CMA tasks as appropriate.
- Uphold all clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards including HIPAA and 42 CFR.
- Assist with insurance documentation and admission plans of care as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
What We're Looking For
- RN or LPN license in Iowa (unencumbered)
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Experience in detox, behavioral health, or addiction care preferred - but we'll train the right candidate
- Strong critical thinking, client engagement, and time management skills
- Ability to function in fast-paced, emotionally intense environments
- Skilled communicator and team collaborator
