About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Principal Gifts to join their senior leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and leading the Principal Giving program, with a focus on generating philanthropic support at the $5 million-plus level. This role requires a strategic and hands-on approach to managing a team of major gift officers and centralized services staff, as well as a personal portfolio of high-capacity prospects. The Vice President will be expected to create and achieve performance goals, develop and implement best practices, and ensure that all activities align with the organization's mission and values. Candidates for the Vice President position should have a Bachelor's degree, with an advanced degree strongly preferred, and a minimum of 12 years of development experience, including at least 10 years in a management role. The role demands a proven track record in securing large gifts, the ability to think and act strategically, and a commitment to the highest standards of integrity and accountability. The ideal candidate will have superior communication skills, the ability to build and sustain relationships, and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry and its philanthropic landscape. Responsibilities also include engaging with executive leaders, coordinating with key volunteers, and ensuring compliance with ethical fundraising practices.
