Attendance Clerk - $16.60-17.50 per hour DOE. with benefits. 10 month traditional school year schedule. 40 hours per week. The Wilson School District is looking for an Attendance Clerk for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. The Attendance Clerk is responsible for clerical work involved in accurately maintaining student attendance records and assisting students, parents, and teachers in all matters related to student attendance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintains permanent attendance records for all students in Cum Folders and Sasi
  • Prepares attendance reports and records as directed by the administration.
  • Supervises and assists in home communication regarding student absences.
  • Provides information regarding individual student attendance problems to the professional staff.
  • Performs student registration.
  • Monitors students for each absence.
  • Coordinates student enrollment information with the Record Office.
  • Monitors visitors and telephone calls regarding messages for students.
  • Serves as office receptionist.
  • Coordinates Wilson Attendance Mandate (WAM)
  • Prints reports cards.
  • Balances 40th and 100th day ADM reports
  • Generates Transaction Validation reports and corrects any errors.
  • Other duties as assigned by the building administrator.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or actively pursuing college courses
  • Previous experience as a clerk/receptionist or general office work.
  • Ability to relate cordially with public and work well with interruptions.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Two (2) year degree or actively pursuing post- secondary education
  • Preferred ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish fluently (preferred).
  • Computer knowledge preferred.
