Title: RN - Peds ICU Location:Brooklyn,Ny (Onsite) Employment Type: Contract Compensation Pay Range:$49.98-$71.40/Hrs Description Utilize the nursing process for direct patient care. Accountable for prescribing, delegating, and coordinating care for assigned patients. Diagnose and treat responses to health problems through case finding and health teaching. Supervise care provided by LPNs, RNPs, nursing attendants, technicians, and supplemental staff. Participate in quality improvement activities related to patient care delivery. Demonstrate effective communication and management of stressful situations. Participate in orientation and serve as a clinical resource for student nurses. Key Responsibilities Assess immediate and ongoing care needs of patients and significant others. Develop comprehensive care plans including physical, teaching, and discharge planning needs. Provide direct patient care based on assessed needs and medical regimen. Observe, evaluate, and communicate patient responses to illness and treatment. Coordinate overall care plan to ensure consistency with medical regimen. Accept responsibility and accountability for nursing interventions and outcomes. Ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff. Qualifications BSN prepared with 2 or more years of experience preferred. ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required. Competent in vent/tracheostomy and gastrostomy tubes, medication titration, and A-lines. Good interpersonal skills.
