About this opportunity Our Irving Shop is currently seeking a Lead Inspector to guide and support inspectors. Pay and Schedule

  • Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30pm
  • The pay range is $22-25 Per hour Depending on Experience

How will you contribute to the success of the team?
  • Overseeing the comprehensive inspections of trucks and other fleet equipment.
  • Help Inspectors identify and document any mechanical or safety issues.
  • Help direct basic maintenance tasks and handle minor repairs as necessary.
  • Guarantee compliance with all transportation laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize equipment repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs.
  • Foster effective communication with the maintenance director and team members.
  • Issue training and development sessions to enhance job knowledge and skills.
  • Direct inspectors in maintaining a clean and safe work environment, including the proper care and use of shop tools.
  • Assist in generating work orders from failed inspections in Cetaris
  • Assist in making sure that drivers are adhering to safety/inspection lane protocol.
  • Direct and guide inspectors in all safety procedures including wheel chocks, removing drivers from vehicles without conflict and courteous instructions to drivers.
  • Communicate to management and safety compliance of any driver disruption in the inspection process.

  • Basic knowledge of truck systems and components.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn and the ability to follow directions.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work in various weather conditions and adapt to different shift patterns
