Job Type Full-time Description ARM Group LLC is looking for a self-driven Staff Engineer who is looking to grow and embodies an ownership mentality. As a Staff Engineer working within our well-established Natural Gas practice area, you will collaborate with a team of multi-disciplined engineers and scientists, project managers, CAD designers, and other staff to service our client's needs. This role will support a wide range of projects related to natural gas engineering, environmental services, geotechnical engineering, solid waste, water resources, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control planning, and construction administration. Location: This position can be filled in our State College or Canonsburg, PA offices Primary Responsibilities: • Prepare, review, and update design drawings and investigation reports. • Perform technical calculations. • Use the principles of engineering to develop solutions to permitting, design, and construction challenges. • Provide technical support for projects including hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and modeling (stormwater detention and water quality BMP design), site grading and design, erosion and sediment control plans, etc) • Assess and mitigate project risks • Research code, zoning, ordinances, and other requirements as needed to ensure project compliance. • Prepare reports, letters, emails, permit applications, etc. for projects. • Observe, monitor, and document field work to analyze possible problems and possible solutions. • Collaborate with other team members to establish project deliverables and obtain further knowledge and experiences. • Effectively communicate with key stakeholders including project managers, project engineers, and other members of the project team. • Proactively recognize conditions and problems of a non-routine nature, develop solutions, and seek guidance when needed. Requirements Base Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering discipline (Civil, Environmental, geotechnical, etc.) • A self-starter possessing strong communication, planning and organizational skills. • Creative thinker with effective teamwork skills. • Detail-oriented and thorough. • Strong work ethic and self-motivated mentality. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Desire to work on multiple projects in parallel rather than a single large project. • Requires travel to job sites and occasionally out of the local area overnight stay. • Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely without restrictions on a daily basis. • Valid driver's license. Preferred Requirements: • E.I.T. certification or the opportunity to obtain certification can be developed.
