This fast-paced environment cares for a diverse patient population undergoing various cardiac procedures, including CABGs, TAVIs, and heart failure treatments such as VADs, ECMO, artificial hearts, and heart transplants. The ideal candidate must possess a multidisciplinary approach to patient care and demonstrate strong scrubbing and circulating skills. Key Responsibilities: - Provide direct patient care in the Cardiac Operating Room. - Scrub and circulate during cardiac surgical procedures. - Collaborate with surgeons and the OR team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. - Monitor patient status and manage critical situations as they arise. - Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols. Qualifications: - RN License (New York State ONLY). - Minimum of two years of experience in the OR, ideally in a level 1 trauma center. - Proficiency in scrubbing and circulating. - Experience with minimally invasive cardiac procedures and VAD (HeartMate 2 or 3). - Cardiac transplant experience preferred. Certifications Required: - BLS (American Heart Association ONLY). - ACLS (American Heart Association ONLY). Preferred Experience: - Previous cardiac operating room experience in a Level 1 trauma center is highly desirable.
