We are unable to provide sponsorship at this moment .Job Title: Laboratory TechnicianLocation: Houston , TX 77040Duration: 6 monthsPay Range: $ 19.88/hr. on w2Job Description:Position Overview: Support experimental design efforts, independently perform laboratory experiments, and analyze, summarize, and present experimental data. Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and assess coating formulationsincluding electro-coat, primer, topcoat, and clear coatusing mixing and spraying equipment.
  • Learn and become proficient with spray application tools for coating various test substrates.
  • Conduct testing on coating formulations and accurately document results.
  • Troubleshoot lab issues and work collaboratively with researchers to resolve unexpected or inaccurate outcomes.
  • Record and communicate findings through Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Provide input on next steps, contribute to project planning, and effectively manage day-to-day laboratory tasks.
  • Inspect, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment at the assigned work location.
  • Monitor and replenish chemical and supply inventories necessary for lab operations.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Regularly handle, classify, and dispose of chemicals in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Juggle multiple responsibilities while meeting strict deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to work independently or collaboratively in a team.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects.
  • Comfortable handling hazardous materials with appropriate safety measures.
  • Hands-on approach to learning and understanding product functionality.
  • Ability to comprehend technical documents, including safety and procedural guidelines.
  • Solid analytical and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to generate routine reports and maintain proper documentation.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and computer-based tools.
Education & Experience: Associates or Bachelors degree in chemistry, life sciences, or a related technical field; or equivalent experience in an industrial laboratory setting.
