Currently, we are recruiting Recreational Therapists for long-term contracts at correctional facilities in California. What you will be doing:
- Promote social interaction.
- Encourage positive and appropriate leisure activities.
- Prepare individuals for reintegration into the general population or other levels of treatment.
- Actively participate in the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT).
- Coordinate therapy services with primary clinicians, correctional counselors, and others.
- Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience within the last three (3) years
- Driver's License or Passport Identification
- Graduation from an accredited college with a major in therapeutic recreation or recreation with an emphasis on therapeutic recreation.
- BLS (American Heart Association only)
- Education must include supervised fieldwork approved by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) or the California Board of Recreation and Park Certification (CBRPC).
