The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the initiation of the electrical and control systems design from written sequences of operation. A typical Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing complex piping and wiring diagrams along with providing technical support across various control systems projects. Reporting Relationships The Electrical Engineer reports to the Vice President. Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages and designs electrical system upgrade or modification projects based on Organo designs.
- Assists with modifying and reviewing production drawings for a variety of projects.
- Evaluates and selects component suppliers
- Evaluates and selects electrical contractors for system assembly and installation.
- Negotiates price and lead time with vendors, issues purchase orders.
- Plans, coordinates, and supervises the sourcing of components and the assembly, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of systems.
- Collaborates with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting electrical plans according to budget constraints, design factors, or client needs.
- Applies basic knowledge of commonly used electrical concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the electrical engineering services industry.
- Assists with research and complies project related data as required by the project managers.
- Assists with client presentations, shop drawing review, and contract administration.
- Performs field inspections, measurements, or calculations as required.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

- Exhibits positivity and flexibility when assigned a new task or project.
Education
- Minimum education is a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in designing or maintaining electrical systems for industrial plants, including control panels, PLCs, instrumentation, wiring, data communication systems
- Proficiency in programming with PLC and DCS software, including Allen Bradley PLC RSLogix required, and Emerson DeltaV preferred.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrated computer literacy, required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, required.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, required.
- Experience with water treatment engineering processes, a plus.
- Chinese proficiency is a plus.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Domestic and international travel required, 5% of time.
