The Position: We are looking for a strong Business Systems Analyst responsible for the development, integration and usability of custom and third-party systems utilized by FDSN Regional Sports Networks (RSNs). Reporting to the Director, Business Applications, this role will be involved in developing and maintaining the product backlog for detailed requirements, champion agile methodology (where applicable) to continually develop the application(s) and working with product owners/product management to turn the product vision into user stories. This is a remote-friendly position. The Game Plan: (What you will do)

  • Identify specific business opportunities and drive identification of requirements across business units.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, properly interpret business needs, translate requirements into user stories, document clear/well-structured business requirements/documents with all relevant supporting documents and communicate/validate requirements with stakeholders to get their buy in.
  • Collaborate effectively with PO, internal scrum team and other cross functional teams as needed to address questions, implement solutions that meet business needs and ensure successful delivery of product.
  • Work with Product owner to prioritize the Product Backlog, maintain understanding of the technical aspects of the product and test/validate solutions to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Creation and maintaining business analysis artifacts - User stories, workflows, business requirements documents, data mapping documents, data flow diagrams etc.
  • Exhibit relationship management skills - negotiation, managing expectations, timely appropriate and consistent communications, and conflict management.
  • Maintain regular communication schedules with vendors in managing third party vendor applications.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement personally and within the team, develop training programs, knowledge transfer sessions with the team as needed.
The Stats: (What to bring)
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in business analysis
  • Proven experience in requirements elicitation, facilitating requirements gathering sessions, documentation, user story writing and testing.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining business analysis artifacts - Workflows, Data flow diagrams, Data Mapping documents, User Journeys, process documents, Sequence Diagrams etc.

The Company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation range for this role is $100,000 - $110,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
