Position Type: Administration/Assistant Principal Date Posted: 7/8/2025 Location: Sanborn Regional School District Date Available: 07/01/2025 Closing Date: 08/31/2025 Job Summary -To maintain a positive school culture, foster academic excellence, and support the growth and development of both students and staff. Qualifications -Master's Degree in Education, School Administration or related degree -New Hampshire License as an Assistant Principal or Principal -Three (3) to five (5) years of professional experience which encompasses teaching and educational leadership that is comparable to the responsibilities of an assistant principal. -Must pass a background check. Supervisor Principal Supervises Staff as assigned. Performance Responsibilities Instructional Leadership -Collaborate with teachers and other administrators to develop and implement effective instructional strategies and ensure adherence to district adopted curriculum. -Provide guidance and support to teachers in curriculum, lesson planning, and instructional delivery, and assessment. -Ensure alignment with district and state standards. Student Discipline and Behavior Management -Enforce school policies and procedures regarding student behavior, discipline, and attendance. -Investigate and address disciplinary issues promptly and fairly, maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment for all students. -Use discipline data to proactively intervene with students and staff. -Facilitates Multi-Tiered Systems of Support Tier II and III teams. Student Support and Counseling -Work with counselors, social workers, and other support staff to provide interventions and support services to students with academic, social, emotional, or behavioral challenges. -Monitor student progress and intervene as needed to ensure academic success and personal growth. Teacher Evaluation and Professional Development -Assist in evaluating teacher performance through classroom observations, walkthroughs, feedback sessions, and data analysis. -Participate in teacher evaluation which is on-going and continuous throughout the year. Administrative Duties -Oversee these day-to-day administrative tasks, but not limited to substitute coverage, field trips scheduling, student registration, and coordination of extracurricular activities. -Collaborate with the Principal and other administrators in budget planning, resource allocation, and facilities management. Parent and Community Engagement -Foster positive relationships with parents, guardians, and community members through effective communication and outreach efforts. -Attend parent meetings, community events, and other school functions to promote a sense of partnership and collaboration. School Improvement Initiatives Participate in the development and implementation of school improvement plans, including setting goals, tracking progress, and making data-driven decisions. -Lead or support committees focused on specific areas of improvement, such as student achievement, school climate, or technology integration. Professional Responsibilities -Engage in reflective practice. -Regularly seek out and identify high-quality opportunities to grow and learn, identifying problems of practice or areas of inquiry that inform individual and collaborative learning opportunities. -Exhibit high standards of ethical practice and wise decision making on behalf of students, families, and staff. -Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.
