POSITION PURPOSE The Recruiter for Community Partnerships will be responsible for developing recruiting partnerships with community organizations, technical schools, and workforce development programs. This role will also represent the company at hiring events, job fairs, and community initiatives, with the primary focus on recruiting candidates for our Coach Operator and Mechanic positions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES To be successful in this role, a team member must be able to perform in a satisfactory manner the functions listed below.   • Build and maintain relationships with local community organizations, non-profits, justice-impacted programs, workforce development agencies, and technical/vocational schools.
  • Develop and execute outreach strategies to attract candidates from traditional and non-traditional talent pools.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for community-based recruiting initiatives.
  • Coordinate and attend job fairs, hiring events, and community career expos.
  • Represent the company at events in the community, promoting our employer brand and career opportunities.
  • Review resumes against job requirements, conduct candidate phone screens/assessments against qualifications, and present to hiring managers.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure event materials, branding, and logistics are aligned with company standards.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and align community outreach accordingly.
  • Manage interview logistics between candidates and hiring teams across the company for phone screens, video conferences, and on-site interviews.
  • Track and report on outreach activities, event return on investment, and partnership effectiveness.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve community recruiting strategies.
  • Support talent acquisition efforts with the talent acquisition team when needed.
  • Ability to work outside core business hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm periodically, including nights and weekends, as business needs dictate.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE To perform this job successfully, a team member must have the following education and/or experience.
  • Associates degree with coursework in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, or a related field is preferred. Two years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in an applicant tracking system utilization is preferred.
  • Valid Indiana Driver's license.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The company will make reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.
  • 5 years of experience working in nonprofit, community outreach, education, or public sector is preferred. Two years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
  • Experience working with technical school, trade programs, and community colleges is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in recruiting, community outreach, or workforce development is preferred.
  • Experience attending and representing companies in the community is preferred.
  • Experience working in the community with justice-impacted programs is preferred.
