Currently, Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time, PLC HMI Electrical Controls Engineer to work in our various Project sites all around the world. The PLC HMI Electrical Controls Engineer will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee. The ideal candidate will be able to commission, install, and operate water/wastewater treatment systems, such as thermal-based brine concentrators and crystallizers, ultrafiltration (UF) demineralization (DM), reverse osmosis (RO), Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD), and high-efficiency reverse osmosis (HERO). This candidate will also have experience troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs. Job Description:
- Will interface with the customer. Maintain construction supervision, commissioning, start-up, and performance testing of water & wastewater treatment equipment, evaporators, crystallizers, and thermal desalination systems supplied by Aquatech. Experience in calibration of instrumentation, PLC logic review and troubleshooting, and operating interface setup and troubleshooting. Supervise the operation and maintenance of operating plants. Commissioning of rotating equipment such as pumps, centrifugal pumps, and blowers. Troubleshoot water treatment systems (pumps, motors, blower, valves & piping). Interpreting lab results.
- This job involves extensive traveling, both domestic and international. Field Service Engineers are ambassadors of the company in servicing our clients and customers. For this reason, good communication skills are necessary. The ideal candidate should be able to deal with various multinational clients. We are looking for candidates who are not only technically sound and energetic but are also able to perform independently in international work environments and manage the Sites. - Percent Overnight Travel: 50% to 75% of the calendar year
- Passport (active status) with the ability to travel and extended overnight stays.

Skill Requirements:
- Knowledge of the engineering processes and standards required for the proper operation of water/wastewater treatment plants and technology, e.g., thermal-based as brine concentrators and crystallizers, ultra-filtration (UF) demineralization (DM), reverse osmosis (RO), Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD), and high-efficiency reverse osmosis (HERO) through coursework or experience.
- Perform commissioning, installation, and operation of water/wastewater treatment systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain a positive attitude and good organizational skills.
- Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks or projects.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to use a personal computer (MS Word & Excel) at a high level of proficiency.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Instrumentation/Automation Engineering.
- Active Passport with the ability to travel 50% of the yearand extended overnight stays lasting 6-8 weeks at a time.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in water treatment or related systems preferred.2-3 years of experience in Allen Bradley PLCs' Factory Talk HMIs or their equivalent, like Siemens PLCs.
