Position Type: Support Staff/Educational Assistant: Program Coordinator Date Posted: 6/4/2025 Location: Fairfield Jr-Sr High School Title: Educational Assistant: Program Coordinator (APEX) Description: Student self-directed lessons supervised by instructor. This is a temporary position from August 13, 2025 - November 1, 2025. Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of the Google suite including Google classroom
- Long term substitute position
- Substitute permit required - teaching credentials desired
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in curriculum review and design
- Implement a variety of effective instructional strategies consistent with lesson objectives
- Diagnose and evaluate student abilities and progress in a timely and consistent manner
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
- Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required
- Refer students for alternative services as provided by the district (ESL, Reading, Special Reading)
- Effectively implement district initiatives
- Effectively collaborate with department and grade level teachers
- Other duties as assigned by building principal and/or supervisor
Requirements:
- Complete and pass an Expanded Criminal background and CPS Check
Compensation:
- Competitive pay depending upon experience
