The Parking Attendant is responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient parking experience for guests attending events at Great Park Live. This role involves directing vehicles, enforcing parking regulations, assisting guests, and maintaining a safe and organized parking environment. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and committed to providing a positive guest experience.
Responsibilities:
- Direct vehicles to designated parking areas efficiently and safely.
- Manage traffic flow to prevent congestion and ensure smooth entry and exit.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests with parking inquiries and directions.
- Monitor parking lots to ensure compliance with venue policies and safety regulations.
- Report any unauthorized vehicles, suspicious activity, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Assist guests with special needs, including ADA-accessible parking accommodations.
- Set up and remove traffic cones, barricades, and signage as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of parking areas.
- Work closely with security and operations teams to ensure safety and emergency response readiness.
- Handle any guest concerns or escalate issues to management as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in parking operations, event staffing, or customer service preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. when setting up traffic control equipment.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions, including but not limited to heat, cold, and rain.
Work Environment:
- Outdoor setting in a high-traffic, fast-paced environment.
- Exposure to loud noise levels during events.
- Interaction with large crowds and vehicles.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly wage: $18 to $22 per hour, depending on experience.
