Job Overview: Search Solution Group is seeking a Customer Support Engineer on behalf of our client, a global leader in the development and manufacturing of semiconductor equipment and precision measuring systems. This position is critical to maintaining customer satisfaction and performance excellence. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with customer-facing communication and support. Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain systems and related peripherals
- Perform electrical, mechanical, and communication interface installations between probers, manipulators, testers, and network systems
- Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) and basic repairs on probing systems
- Provide clear communication with customers regarding the status of service work, installations, and repairs
- Understand and relay customer device trends and test strategies to internal teams
- Submit detailed Field Service Reports (FSRs) promptly
- Document unresolved technical issues using standard formats (NERs, bug reports)
- Assist Sales and Marketing with product demos and trade show support
- Create technical documentation for internal and customer use
- Travel as needed for training and on-site support
Requirements include: Education:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or Electrical Engineering (BSEE) preferred
- Associate degree or technical school certification with at least 2 years of relevant experience accepted
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years as a customer support engineer or in a similar technical role working with probers or test equipment
Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Technical writing and documentation skills
- Strong oral and written English communication abilities
Certifications:
- Training certificates for probers or other test equipment are a plus
Knowledge:
- Understanding of semiconductor testing environments and equipment
- Ability to interpret complex technical documentation and diagrams
- Familiarity with project tracking tools such as Gantt charts and issue logs

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
