Accounting Clerk for a full-time opportunity with a reputable company in the Yucaipa, CA area. The ideal candidate will have at least
2 years of recent experience in an accounting clerk or related role and thrive in a detail-oriented environment.
Position Summary: The Accounting Clerk will perform a variety of routine and complex accounting tasks including managing accounts receivable and payable, reconciling bank accounts, processing invoices, and assisting with month-end close. This role supports accurate financial record-keeping by following approved accounting procedures and utilizing various systems and tools.
Key Responsibilities: - Process billing, collections, and reporting functions
- Match invoices to internal purchase orders and verify accuracy of pricing and terms
- Audit and process credit card bills and check requests
- Prioritize invoices based on discount and payment terms
- Reconcile vendor/customer statements and resolve discrepancies
- Monitor accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities
- Prepare bank deposits and process adjustments
- Maintain organized and up-to-date files for accounts receivable/payable
- Maintain customer records using Vantage accounting software and company network
- Generate and maintain 1099 records and assist with end-of-month closing
- Compile reports for expenditures, AR/AP, and other accounting functions
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned
Qualifications: - Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an Accounting Clerk or similar role
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- College coursework in accounting is preferred
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Proficient with accounting software (experience with Vantage a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
