About the Role: The Property Manager will oversee the daily operations and management of residential properties, with a strong focus on affordable housing communities. This role is responsible for ensuring properties are well-maintained, compliant with all relevant regulations, and financially viable through effective lease administration and tenant relations. The Property Manager will coordinate maintenance, conduct building inspections, and manage vendor relationships to uphold property standards. They will also ensure adherence to Fair Housing laws and other regulatory requirements, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment for all residents. Ultimately, the Property Manager plays a critical role in maximizing property value while delivering exceptional service to tenants and stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in property management, preferably within affordable housing.
  • Proficiency in Yardi Systems or similar property management software.
  • Strong knowledge of lease agreements, lease administration, and real estate regulations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Fair Housing laws and compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification as a Certified Property Manager (CPM) or similar professional designation.
  • Experience with real estate development projects and capital improvement planning.
  • Advanced knowledge of affordable housing programs and funding mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with building inspection protocols and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage diverse tenant populations and vendor relationships.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of property operations including tenant relations, lease administration, and rent collection.
  • Conduct regular building inspections to ensure safety, maintenance, and compliance with housing regulations.
  • Oversee affordable housing programs and ensure compliance with applicable guidelines and funding requirements.
  • Utilize Yardi Systems for property management tasks such as tracking leases, maintenance requests, and financial reporting.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams and external vendors to address repair needs and property improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and other relevant real estate regulations.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, financial reports, and occupancy forecasts to support property profitability.
  • Collaborate with real estate development teams on property enhancements and capital improvement projects.
Skills: The Property Manager will apply their expertise in affordable housing and property management daily to ensure smooth operations and tenant satisfaction. Proficiency with Yardi Systems enables efficient lease administration, financial tracking, and maintenance coordination. Knowledge of lease agreements and real estate regulations ensures all contracts and property activities comply with legal standards. Building inspections and vendor management skills are essential for maintaining property quality and safety.
