Maximum salary upon new hire is $57,732. Working Hours and/or Working Conditions: 40 hours per week; local travel to internship sites and travel between campuses required; required to work some evenings and Saturdays. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must be able to communicate effectively with widely diverse populations; capable of motivating and encouraging others and demonstrating positive role modeling through mentoring and coaching; must have knowledge of local and regional agencies, community resources, and health systems. Must be a skilled and effective oral and written communicator; must be able to work independently and as a member of a project team; must be detail oriented and able to handle multiple activities. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to input, analyze, and report data and information for strategic planning. Supervision: SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to Director, Center for Health Careers. Takes supervision from Manager, Center for Health CareersSUPERVISION GIVEN: May direct part-time staff Job Function Provides coordination of overall student success from recruitment, registration, placement in clinical internships, and retention. Engages in pre- and post-activities necessary for course and program delivery each term. Acts as aliaison with college departments, communityagencies,and employers to ensure positive program outcomes. Works cooperatively to support the department's strategic and operational initiatives including the growth of the WCE-HPS courses and programs. Job Responsibilities
  • Identifies new clinical opportunities and develops and maintains affiliation agreements with employers
  • Collects and verifies pre- and post-required student internship documents, such as health records, criminal background checks, and evaluations.
  • Submits credential approvals to Registrar for student transcripts and creates certificates of completion to be mailed to students.
  • Places students in clinicals and monitors progress, including site visits as needed, to ensure successful completion
  • Secures new clinical sites for student placement.
  • Maintains records and produces reports for the Director relatingtostudent progress and successful program completion
  • Tracks student completion for vendored training programs and submits student outcomes to the WCE-HPS Manager
  • Responsible for using Canvas, Colleague, MS Office programs, and the WCE Modern Campus registration systems, and any other relevant college software
  • Comply with FERPA and HIPPA guidelines when dealing with and communicating confidential student information related to but not limited to student records.
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners torecruit new studentsby participatingincareerand job fairs and other outreachactivities
  • Coordinates the development of new, and keeping up-to-date, marketing/communication/website WCE-HPS program materials following the college communications office policies and procedures
  • Maintains and engages with students in the Canvas health information workshop WKSP-8000 to move them from interest to registration
  • Assists students with identifying and applying for tuition assistance
  • Provides student referrals to college or community programs addressingsituational barriers to successful program admission and completion
  • Provides instruction on professional skills, job search, and interviewing skills in coordination with faculty in the classroom and with college Career Services
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Education Associate degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Qualifications Minimum three years' experience in employment, human resource services, or related fields; relevant experience in workplace retention or job coaching, with experience in health-related careers preferred.
