Piper Companies is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to work a hybrid schedule in Durham, NC for an Insurance company that specializes in retirement solutions. As a Full Stack Software Engineer your day-to-day includes applying REST APIs and application UIs, ensuring software efficiency, and contributing your knowledge of Node and React to the team. Responsibilities of the Full Stack Engineer include: • Build and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and intuitive user interfaces that support seamless user experiences and business functionality. • Monitor application performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimizations to enhance speed and efficiency. • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software bugs and technical issues across the stack. Qualifications for the Splunk Architect include: • 2-5 years of experience building and maintaining full stack applications in a professional setting. • Comfortable working with backend technologies like Node.js or Java (8+), and confident writing SQL for relational databases. • Hands-on experience with modern front-end frameworks, preferably ReactJS and TypeScript. • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Compensation for the Splunk Architect includes: • Salary: $110,000 - $125,000 annually • Competitive bonus plan • Hybrid schedule - 3 days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) • Comprehensive benefit: Medical, Dental, Vison, 401k, PTO, holidays, sick leave as required by law This job opens for applications on 8/14/2025.
