Title: Respiratory Care Practitioner - Respiratory Therapy Location: Richland, WA Job Type: FTE/Permanent Shift details: Full-time, 0.9 FTE (36 working hours per week), variable shift. Job Description: This is a combined posting for Respiratory Care Practitioners and Senior Respiratory Care Practitioners. The qualifications and salary range for each role are listed below. Applicants meeting the criteria for either role are encouraged to apply. Under the direction of Respiratory Therapy leadership, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for performing treatments and procedures as ordered by healthcare providers. Assignments are made based on skill and experience and may include patient care in critical and general care areas such as NICU, Adult ICU, Emergency Department, Birth Center, general medicine, and outpatient pulmonary rehab. The Pulmonary Function Lab is a separate area requiring additional training. The Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner performs all duties of a staff therapist and serves as a resource for other team members. Responsibilities include mentoring or guiding staff and ensuring work meets quality standards. This role does not include supervisory authority such as hiring or formal performance reviews. Respiratory Care Practitioner Required Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy
  • Active Respiratory Care Practitioner License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution
  • 1 year of experience in an acute care medical setting.
Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner Required Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy
  • Active Respiratory Care Practitioner License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 90 days of hire
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in an acute care medical setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Recent experience in NICU, adult CCU, and open-heart patient care.
