Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. The role involves caring for patients with a variety of critical medical conditions including sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, and multi-organ failure. You will be responsible for managing patients undergoing pre-vad workups, alcohol withdrawal, overdose treatment, post-cardiac arrest care, and respiratory failure/shock management. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 with occasional 1:1 based on patient acuity. Additional procedures may include CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, and Impella management. Weekend requirements include working every other weekend. First-time travelers are accepted for this role. Candidates will be expected to float as needed.
