This overnight position oversees four units with a mix of long-term, short-term, and dementia care residents. The Nurse Supervisor ensures high standards of patient care and compliance while coordinating assessments, admissions, ER transfers, and interdisciplinary collaboration with medical providers. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise nursing staff and care delivery across four units during the 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM shift
- Perform head-to-toe patient assessments and manage admission protocols
- Facilitate ER transfers in collaboration with medical providers
- Conduct second checks on physician orders and admissions
- Ensure accurate documentation using PointClickCare E-MAR
- Maintain compliance with NYS nursing standards and BLS protocols
- Oversee care plans for a resident mix, including long-term, short-term rehab, and dementia care
- Monitor unit acuity levels and adjust staffing/resources accordingly
- Provide hands-on clinical guidance and performance supervision
Required Experience:
- Proven experience in a supervisory RN role within a long-term care (LTC) facility
- Proficient in PointClickCare electronic medical records (E-MAR)
- Current NYS RN License
- BLS certification
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Experience working with dementia patients
- Familiarity with mixed-acuity patient care
- Prior work in a large multi-unit LTC facility
