Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination: - Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for OSP engineering projects.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather necessary information for project planning.
Design and Engineering: - Supervise the OSP engineering team in creating detailed design drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
- Review and approve engineering designs and modifications.
Resource Management: - Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet project objectives.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring their work aligns with project requirements and quality standards.
Quality Control and Assurance: - Implement quality control measures to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of OSP engineering designs and installations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess project progress and quality of work.
Stakeholder Communication: - Maintain clear and open communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members throughout the project lifecycle.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
Risk Management: - Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and delays.
- Proactively address issues as they arise, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and budgets.
Documentation and Reporting: - Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and technical documentation.
- Generate regular status reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in OSP engineering and project management, preferably in the telecommunications or utility industry.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of outside plant design principles, fiber optics, and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage budgets, and lead cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in project management software tools.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
